Living with Diabetes Day

Energiser Fruit Smoothies with Wheatgerm

6 Portions


Ingredients
  • 1 x peeled banana
  • 5 x washed strawberries without the stalks
  • ¼ x peeled pineapple
  • 1 x wedge of peeled honeydew melon
  • 300ml x pure unsweetened apple juice
  • 4 x tea spoons of toasted oats

Method

Place all ingredients in a smoothie maker or standard liquidiser and blitz to a smooth puree

Other fruits such as black berries, mango or watermelon could be used to alter the flavour & colour of the drink.

Natural yoghurt could also be used to add texture replacing some of the fruit.
