Milestone reached for Diabetes Patients
Planning Permission paves the way for the new Stephanie Marks Diabetes Resource Centre
Supporters should be thrilled to read that their five years of hard work were validated yesterday when Runnymede Borough Council granted planning permission for the new, state-of-the-art Stephanie Marks Diabetes Resource Centre. Construction work should begin towards late autumn when the 3 month tender process has been completed.

Help is still needed!
The team will continue to raise funds as money for the IT system is still to be secured and we want to upgrade the proposed wheel chair platform with a fully functional passenger lift. Therefore, please keep up your support as we are nearly there, and we will always wish to keep abreast of clinical developments and patient care. We have a limited number of spaces left to run the British 10k (London) on 6th July. Please call ASAP to reserve your place.
To support this ground breaking Appeal call 01932 722330 or email val.levy@asph.nhs.uk today as you can make a difference!!!

Shoes and Keys unlock the path to improved DIABETES care!
At the age of 3, Abigail Courtney from Ashford, was diagnosed with having type1 diabetes. Now aged 8, and having to inject four times a day with insulin to stay alive, her parents John and Rebecca show their continued support by raising the awareness of this complex condition.
Masters Shoe Repairs have just been key sponsors at the recent ‘Living with Diabetes Day’, a popular annual event organised by The Stephanie Marks Diabetes Appeal aimed at people with diabetes, their families and carers. On the day, Masters Shoe Repairs donated a further £5,000 bringing their total contribution to the Appeal to almost £10,000 in just four years.
