BOOK NOW FOR 5th January 2006!
A perfect Christmas treat for the whole family. This spectacular pantomime provides a magical feast of fun, music and laughter, and will be staged early in the New Year by the award-winning Desborough Players at the Playhouse in Walton-on-Thames. This special charity performance of Hansel and Gretel will be raising funds this year for the Stephanie Marks Diabetes Appeal, and will take place on Thursday January 5th at 7.30pm.
The amount of people faced with diabetes is growing, and by 2010 Ashford and St Peter's NHS Trust will be looking to treat over 24,000 with the condition. To meet this growing demand, not only by way of treatment, but also by providing educational and research facilities, The Stephanie Marks Appeal was launched in June 2003. It aims to significantly raise awareness of the condition and provide a new dedicated diabetes centre on the St Peter's site, together with a series of satellite clinics that will serve the entire catchment area of Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Trust.
Established in 1946, the Desboroughs stage several productions each year, and they have won numerous awards at the festivals - for best play, best actor, best actress and best supporting player, together with several technical awards. In the true tradition of pantomime, their Hansel and Gretel will entertain children and adults alike and provide a real treat for the whole family.
Adults £8, Children (under 16) £6. Save money by buying a family ticket for two adults and two children for only £24 - a saving of £4. Book early to avoid disappointment on 01932 722330. Tickets for the charity performance on January 5th are ONLY available by calling The Stephanie Marks Appeal Fundraising office or by email to val.levy@asph.nhs.uk.
