May 08	May Concert Laudamus and Sir William Perkins's School	Featuring School Groups and Solos. A performance of Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas was performed with the Laudamus Chamber Choir & SWPS choirs and Chamber Orchestra. A fabulous £525 was raised on the night.
Apr 08	Living with Diabetes Day success Sir William Perkins's School, Chertsey Surrey	Our third annual Living with Diabetes Day has been described as a 'Day of Information and Inspiration'. Aimed at patients, carers and their families, the event has been well attended and universally applauded. This was an opportunity to listen to the experts, chat with others in similar situations, visit exhibitions offering a wide selection of products, services and advice and have your questions answered. £7,000 was raised. The event will run again next year on Saturday 25th April.

Dec 07 Cleves School	Weybridge Male Voice Choir	We were privileged to have the well renowned Weybridge Male Voice Choir which enjoys a national & international reputation. They performed a varied programme of popular opera choruses, traditional songs, ballads and choral arrangements of songs from popular musical shows, all performed in the spine-tingling four-part harmony unique to traditional male voice choral singing. A truly wonderful evening and our thanks also to Cleves School for hosting this event.
Nov 07 Foxhills, Ottershaw	'Cash for Questions' with Max Clifford	On 13 March 1986 The Sun carried as its main headline: FREDDIE STARR ATE MY HAMSTER. Was that true?? This was one of the many questions asked of Max Clifford as he spilt the beans at his "Cash for Questions" evening in aid of the Stephanie Marks Diabetes Appeal. In a closed room, guests enjoyed a fun night of scandal and gossip raising £4,000 clear for the Appeal. At Foxhills on Wednesday, 14th November this unique, black tie event celebrated the first United Nations observed World Diabetes Day this year's campaign being Diabetes in Children and Adolescents See pictures from the event
Nov 07 Chertsey	Weekenders Autumn/Winter Clothing Presentation	A small group of guests received advice from Tricia, an experienced stylist, on how to co-ordinate their wardrobe and simplify their life!! They then had the opportunity to try on a stylish range of mix and match machine washable, easy iron (or non-iron) garments.
Jul 07 Wentworth Golf Club	Summer Ball	Organised by a dedicated group of Junior Doctors in only 9 weeks at the prestigious Wentworth Golf Club the Summer Ball was an overwhelming success. All tickets were sold allowing 250 guests to enjoy a wonderful evening with delicious food, dance to The Mary's Band and N-Krypted disco till 1.30 am and raise an impressive £4,000!
Jul 07 London	British 10k	Now in its 7th year, the British 10k is a key event in the London sporting calendar. This is the 3rd year the Appeal has taken part having secured 24 places. To date over £2,000 has been raised but sponsorship money is still being collected. Thank you to all our runners.
May 07 Thames Club, Staines	Quiz Night	Organised by Menzies Chartered Accountants, 31 teams pitted their wits against each other at this fun, stimulating evening raising a fantastic £2,276 for the Appeal.
Apr 07 Sir William Perkins's School	Living with Diabetes Day	Professor Simon Howell, Chair, Board of Trustees, Diabetes UK was one of an impressive line up of speakers presenting to over 150 patients and their carers at this day of information and inspiration. £5,000 was raised for the Appeal. Apr 07 New Victoria Theatre	Hot Flush	This was a fantastic night which raised £510 making the total raised to date by The New Victoria Theatre to a massive £1850.
Jan 07 Chertsey	Charity Auction Wellers	Bids were invited at a live auction by Wellers of Chertsey, for a limited edition Chelsea football signed by the current team. A tremendous £3,000 was raised.
Dec 06 London	Chelsea vs Fulham Raffle	We are delighted to announce that Chelsea Football Club raised £2,785 at their Chelsea v Fulham game over Christmas in a corporate raffle.
Nov 06 Staines	National Diabetes Testing Day - Elmsleigh Centre	In aid of National Diabetes Day, 120 shoppers were tested in the Elmsleigh Shopping Centre Staines. Blood glucose levels were checked by a simply and painless prick to the finger. The event will be held every six months. Sponsored by Bayer HealthCare. Click here for a report and photos from the day
Oct 06 Southampton	Ian Botham Charity Walk	Ian Botham, Patron of the Appeal dusted off his walking boots to raise funds for two cancer charities Leukaemia Research and Teenage Cancer Trust. Sep 06 Weybridge	Stephanie Marks Annual Lecture	A successful event for the 2nd year aimed at healthcare professionals, with key speakers Professor Stephanie A Amiel, Eugene Hughes and Neil Munroe raising just under £4,000.
Sep 06 River Thames	Three Men in a Boat	Bradley and friends rowed from Donnington Bridge, through Oxford and onto Walton-on-Thames (90+miles) in 5-6 days in a 125 year old skiff, raising a fabulous £265 to date.
Sep 2006 Woking	Girls Night, New Victoria Theatre	105 girls danced the night away and shared a night to remember - our most successful show to date.
Sep 2006 Hyde Park, London	Hydro Active Wommens Challenge	Sheila Tait, who's son attends the Children's Diabetes Support Group, ran on behalf of the Appeal, raising £483 to date.
Aug 2006 Jersey	Golf with Beefy and Woosie	Rhys Lewis and Richard Moffitt had a ’day of a lifetime’ with Ian Botham and Ian Woosnam at the Royal Jersey Golf Club raising over £3,000 for the Appeal.

May 2006 Chertsey	Annual Living with Diabetes Day	150 attendees enjoyed a day of "information and inspiration" hosted at Sir William Perkins's School, Chertsey. Guest speakers included Becky Botham, Richard Lane and Katrina Scott. Whilst the primary aim of the day was to raise awareness of diabetes and educate people with the condition, their families, friends and carers, the day also raised around £7,000 Please click here for more details about the day
May 2006 Woking	Woking Lions	£2,000 raised between the Lions and the Surrey ShortMat Bowls Assoc. from a short mat bowls competition in January, held at the leisure centre in Woking Park.
Apr 2006	Keyrings	£1 for life Key-rings which can be used in supermarket trolleys or gym lockers are available in support of the appeal. 1,500 have already been sold. Oct 2005 Weybridge	Victoria Wine Company	’Halloween extravaganza’ gave supporters a wonderful opportunity to taste a selection of fabulous wines whilst enjoying the Halloween festivities. There was fun for all the family throughout the day for all the family. £721 was raised to date for the Appeal.

A capacity crowd enjoyed warm Sake and first class Oriental cuisine generously provided by The Desborough Hotel Group. There was a fun Fortune Cookie Tombola and entertainment by a Sri Lankan duo.
Mar 2005 Cobham	Mayor’s Charity Golf Day with Dinner Silvermere Golf Club	Teams enjoyed coffee and bacon rolls prior to the tee off time of 9.00 am. This was followed by a wonderful presentation dinner held in the Lake Suite.
Mar 2005 East Moseley	Swing Along into Spring Imber Court Sports Club	Campbell Burnap led a wonderful evening of swinging mainstream jazz enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience of over 130 people.
Feb 2005 Esher	Valentines Ball Sandown Park	The Valentines Charity Ball was a glittering black tie evening attended by 200 people. Over £10,000 was raised during the evening for the Mayor of Elmbridge’s chosen charities.

Dec 2004 Esher	Carol Concert Garsons Farm	Pupils from the American Community School sang a selection of carols. In total £3,000 will be donated to the Mayor of Elmbridge’s chosen charities.
Dec 2004 New Haw	Community Centre Daphne Love Flower Arranging Demonstration	Around 100 people saw Daphne Love, who has toured the world demonstrating the art of flower arranging. Organised by The St Paul’s Ladies Group, the evening raised £550.
Nov 2004	Woking Jesus Christ Superstar	Supporters enjoyed this classic performance of the 1970s rock opera by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber which tells the tale of the last 7 days in the life of Jesus and raised about £650.
Oct 2004	South Downs Walking the South Downs Way	Peter Davies successfully embarked on a fabulous journey alone. He walked approximately 105 miles from Winchester to Eastbourne raising around £8,500 for the Appeal.
Oct 2004 Esher	Premiere of the movie ”Sharks Tale”	500 people attended Odeon cinema Esher to see the premiere of Shark Tale in aid of the Appeal. £2,500 was raised for the Appeal.
Sep 2004 Guildford	The Dining Room, Tormead School	45 people attended a delightful evening. Our thanks to Barbara Blake for all her hard work and raising £340.
